Changes to Two Tuis House in 2008
- Yet another year of growth of the garden. The
trees around the edge by the road were taken out in early 2008 and the
area mulched. Still waiting to put in a few replacement bushes to
screen this area of the garden but there is still a healthy cover for
this part of the garden.
All parts of the garden are thriving. The big job now revolves around
keeping the weeds suppressed.
- The whole house was repainted in May 2008. The
brown boards and associated surfaces are now a much deeper, dark
brown.
The pale wall cladding on the rest of the building has been refreshed.
The underside of the front porch and terrace have
been painted in a pale colour which makes these areas more appealing.
The gazebo on the terrace and all the doors still need a paint job. Scheduled
in 2009.
- An adventure playground has now been built
down near the tennis courts. This was down to the efforts of our
neighbours on the estate for which we are very grateful.
- Changed the bed downstairs in the library to
a better double bed. Much more comfortable.
