I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years, and of this, have worked for Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, for 26 years. For the last 20 years I have had a number of senior positions within the corporation. Throughout my career, I have developed strong analytical and strategic thinking competencies as I started in market research before moving on to business leadership in a number of countries.
With a specific interest in employee development I have been part of activities to support diversity and inclusion, leadership development programmes as well as participation in the corporate talent management committee. My mentorship of a number of young leaders in Boehringer Ingelheim has been a development opportunity for myself as well as for her mentees. Under my leadership, Boehringer Ingelheim Turkey became the first pharmaceutical company in Turkey to be accredited for ‘Investors in People’.
I have worked in a number of countries in Europe and have had business leadership over a region covering South East Asia, Africa, Turley and South Korea. Having left Boehringer Ingelheim, I am now based in the UK and spend my time working in consultancy, as a trustee of a local charity and am on an independent monitoring panel for Chartered Banker.
